Ok I cant seem to get the windows 7 to boot unless I disable my Media Card,PC Card and firewire on my Dell Precision M6400 laptop. I know it is a driver issue but I wanted to know how I can enable it because I would like to be able to use my firewire. Some help would be great.

If your computer posts successfully, do you see an error on the screen or does it hang?
First thing I would do is reset the BIOS to all default settings and make sure the hard drive with 7 on it is first in the boot order. Then boot with no external devices attached, then add them one by one (booting each time) to narrow down the issue.

I can only get windows 7 to boot only if I disable those items in the bios. If I use default settings it is enabled and it won't boot. Even my windows 7 Pre install disk will not install with it enabled

Ok I found the problem. The cable connecting the Card Cage was not fully seated. I just did a os reinstall with it enabled and it all worked ok. Took a bit to find out but got it going
