I have a Thinkpad T42 and wanted to install Windows 7. The operating system requires Direct X9 with WDDM 1 or later. I don't understand the WDDM 1 and was wondering if the Mobility Radeon card that is installed will support it.

    Welcome to the forum!

What's the full 7-character model number of that T42, located on the same sticker that holds the serial # and the production date on the bottom of the laptop? Should be something like 237?-???
