    I wanted to fix my brothers HP Probook 4510S, but couldn't get the WLAN button to work, it was stuck at OFF.

    There are many suggestions out there, including editing the registry, install HP Wireless Assistant, edit advanced device settings in Device Manager...

    None of them worked for me, but restoring BIOS to default settings did it! See link.

    I know I've seen people having trouble with this.
