    Hello there,

My Win8 will come to memory leak if I run a bittorrent software for 4-5 hours.

My system, a 16G ram and Win8 64bit home edition, will come to memory leak if bittorrent running for 4-5 hours. The RAM will keep build up and finally reach 99%. But i can't see where the memory goes!! If I open up the task manager, there only shows the BT client using 1xxMB ram only, but the overall RAM usage crank up to very high percentage. I have try using 3 BT client and all of them also suffer the same issue (uTorrent, qBittorrent and Tixati)

For the uTorrent, I have try the setting something like "disable windows cache" inside its preference but doesn't help

Anyone can give me some idea? My another laptop, a Asus 8G ram with win7 64 home, works really fine and no any memory leak even running BT for a week 7x24!!

    Here are some screencap

    Hi.

Install the free minimem , and add the apps that have a memory leak, and see if that fixes the problem, while you find a more permanent solution.

I use it on games that have a memory leak, and popup a low mem waring , once i use minimem the problem was fixed.

iastordatasvc (Intel RST 11.5) has a known problem with memory leaks. Update it or roll back if you're using that.

Also, you might want to see how many seeders you're leaching from. Try putting a cap on it and see if that helps, or try a different torrent application. Who knows? You may have even downloaded some sort of malware that's causing the leak.
