    Like the title says,
I am looking for a Windows 7 driver that will let me invert the operation of the touchpad.
Up with down and left with right.
A standard mouse driver should also operate the touchpad. i would lose scrolling though.
A friend who runs Linux says it is a PS2 interface. I'm not sure I 100% believe him.

It is on a CF 31 Toughbook. The problem arises when I exchange mk1 touchpads with later models.
Changing the touchpad pcb has no effect. I have in the past made a custom interface to swap the actual signal wires coming off the touchpad. That works but I really want a simple software solution.

That is close but not it.

The problem is when I slide my finger right, the curser moves left. When I slide my finger up, the curser moves down.
So I need to swap left for right // right for left and up for down // down for up.

OK, I understand now. I don't know of any way to fix that.

Perhaps someone in the Toughbook sub-forum would be better able to answer. I've asked the mods to move this thread.

No. The Toughbook forum can't help with this. I have 6,000 posts over there. I have discussed this with the guys before.
    I want a SOFTWARE solution.
I ask this in this forum for a reason. Please let it be where it is.

It does not matter what brand laptop I am running. I need a software solution to invert the touchpad on Windows 7

    Thank you.

I don't have a Windows laptop to test now. There are supposedly some parameters under
    Code:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\HID\VID_???\VID_???\Device_Parameters
can you check if there are any per-device sensitivity settings there and if yes, try negative values?
