    Hi all,

I have just upgraded my win7 to win8 on my laptop, I have kept all my software and files etc.
Now, many of the window programs doesn't work, for example Windows Defender.

I will like to do a clean install, is that possible?
I tried using UpgradAssistant again, but it doesn't do anything now.

Please help, my laptop is a mess :(

    Thank you in advance.

Yes, I have read it already.
I don't mind doing clean install win7 and clean upgrade to win8, but my laptop didn't come with a win7 cd, so I'm not sure how I can do it.
And also, even if I am able to get myself back to win7, does the win8 upgrade that I purchased still works? Or will I have to pay money again for the upgrade?

    Any help are appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

You probably have your Windows 8 key but do you still have your Windows 8 iso? If so, then just burn it onto a dvd and boot up with it in order to perform a clean install.

Edit: Go here to re-download Windows 8 if you did not create an iso backup:
