    Why wont ventrilo work

    I have the right Hostname/Password/Port number. It says i am nable to connect. What is wrong here? Same version as everyone else too

    this is the first time ive used it. Under ventrilo's faq, it says some kind of firewall/router may block my connection.

    Windows firewall is off.

    my laptop is running off of a router. hmmm...?

    Hmmm, shouldn't be any problems. Perhaps open some ports on your router that Vent uses(which I'm not sure of).

    Perhaps try looking for other public vent servers and see if you can get on those?

    well i dont know any other public servers on vent.... but I have another problem. I cant even open up Norton. It freezes itself and not the computer. ; (

    Norton isn't the best anti-virus program around, I'd uninstall it and get something like AVG.

    make sure you're router's set up to do the proper port forwarding too
