I have a lap-top with a external 300 gig hard drive. Every time I try to back-up windows 7 onto it it starts to copy then it says failed. Does anyone know or have info on how to do it? Also do I have to delete the external hard drive every time I do a new back-up or will windows just copy over it? Thanx for any help with this problem...

Can you post the exact error message and error code? I believe I know what may be the issue, but before we go there, I want to make sure.
