    ... make that text upper case (or vice versa)? Seems so simple and yet I've searched high and low for a software that can do this and haven't found anything for Windows or OS X.

    Personally, I think this should be an OS feature that should have been invented by now.

    Does anyone know about anything that can do this?

    Very easily done in Word. (Shift+F3)

    That's awesome. I'd never heard of that before. Beats doing it one character at a time in VI.

    Browsers aren't word processors you know. If you want a browser to do all a word processor does it will be too bloated with code so I wouldn't even want to ask for that feature.

    Agreed it should be an OS feature, and I honestly don't know why it isn't. Perhaps you should go file a software patent on it, those seem to be all the rage right now.

    It's built into many OS X applications (including Safari, TextEdit and Mail). Look for Transformations in the Edit menu.

    Any good text editor will also have support for this. My new personal favorite is the $60 editor called Sublime Text. It's crazy good and available for OS X, Windows and Linux.
