I'm sure it'd make the forums less cluttered, I don't see why not :).

We don't really need, need one but for those with x64 it might be a big help to congregate with only x64 people. So i say yea, we should get it.

    i voted yes thomas
but i dont reckon right now too many sub forums confuse me :p
but yea it would do some good in decreasing the clutter
but its ok if it takes time too
as i too run on 32 bit
i would say wait till its completely widespread in the sense of dedicated programs and so and not just vista 64bit

Sooner or later, we'll probably need it, but I don't see too much of a problem with the immediate circumstances.

I voted NO, Dont hate me for my personal opinion but there are less than 10% of all current home computer users using 64bit OS. All the driver issues and compatibility problems are keeping mainstream users from converting. I do however see, not in the immediate future, a need for a X64 Forum.

Would it not be more handy now to have a Vista subforum and an XP/2000/ME/98/95 subforum? Although XP/2K/etc still outnumbers Vista 12 to 1, it's a significantly closer dichotomy than 32/64, and probably will narrow more quickly.

I'd say either leave it how it is or have three subforums - XP (and before), Vista, and x64 (XP or Vista).

Apollo13 i think your 3 sub forum idea is great. It'd organize everything around here pretty nicely. I think you should suggest it, in the site suggestions forum.

Yea, I agree that "NEED" is a strong word this early.

But it would surely won't hurt to get a head start on things as I think 64bit will be more popular in a short period of time due to RAM sticks decreasing in price and 2GB and Higher becoming the norm. I say plenty of notebooks will start selling with 4GB installed same time next year.

Their are a quite a few things people need to know about Vista 64 and Ubuntu(linux) 64 that I have noticed.
