    I just got my new laptop and I don't see RUN anywhere! What's going on :| Of all the things to remove.

    You can type msconfig or anything in it and it works

    there's an easier way just right click on the start menu select properties and select customize start menu and scroll down and there should be a box you can select for the run command then it should show up every time you go to the start menu

    Yeah I just learned about this. But I have gotten used to using Win+R now. It is kind of dumb they took it off by default.

    They took it off because you can accomplish the same thing by typing the command into the start menu's search box.

    No need of run... supposed you wanted to execute say, msconfig , then just press windows key or click start and just start typing msconfig and press enter. That itself works like run, and I just love it! :D

    That's strange, my Vista Home Premium SP1, the Run is not hidden by default, I did the fresh installation myself. Maybe I have bad short memory and I actually unhidden it? :p
