I know the question sounds a bit noob... but I have just done a clean install of Vista x32 to try to fix a problem whre my wireless device isn't recognising and is giving me Code 31 errors.

Vista was pre-installed when I received the laptop this morning, and there was a cool Bass Clef avatar that I chose to be my account avatar. I thought it was really appropriate, as I play Bass Guitar. But after this clean install... it's gone.

How can I get the Bass Clef avatar back again? It must have been included in Vista somewhere...

have you tried going into Program Data/Microsoft/User Account Pictures folder? that would be the first place to look.

    Hey there!

(I'm assuming your talking about here on NBR)..

Go into UserCP at the top of the Page.

    >Control Panel > Settings and Options

    For Profile: >Edit Profile
For Profile Picture: >Edit Profile Picture
    For Avatar: > Edit Avatar

and simply go from there! :)

    Hope that helps!

    Cin ;) :)

I'm guessing the picture was added by the people that installed vista the first time. You may have wiped it with your install. Look at it this way: Now you get to hunt for an even better pic!
