    I have been thinking , What is the real diferrence between Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit or Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit

    Which one is better and why thanks in advance.. :)

    Vista x32 = more programs compatable with it. Recognizes up to 3.6gb RAM
    Vista x64 = less programs compatable. Can load some/most 32bit programs. Not too many x64 programs yet. Can recognize more than 4gb RAM.

    As far as speed.. not too much difference.

    I agree with everyone else, not much of a difference and it's generally recommended to go with 32-bit unless you want to get more than 3.5GB of ram.

    Or you really need to run 64-bit. Most users don't, though.

    not really worth it at this point for the 64 bit b/c not many applications are designed for it at this point. For instance, i can't sync my Treo to my notebook via hotsync
