What is it exactly? is it good or bad?

I noticed something, if you enable Hybrid Sleep ina certain profile, then Hibernation is Disabled for that specific profile! I had to disable hybrid sleep to get hibernation option back!

hybrid goes to standby first and hibernate later, sort of. directly. what ever :) never really understood it, but it's a combination of both at least :)

okay. you close your notebook and it goes to standby (still eating up power, but only a bit). if you open it back up minutes later (forgot something to note, or what ever), it's back instanteous trough standby.

if you let it closed for (say) an hour, it then automatically hibernates to save power. so it's like hibernate, but with a fast back to work option for a while.

i think it does even store into hibernate file right after you go into standby (the hdd light glows quite a while before standby).
