Hello everyone, I'm kind of confused about what type of Windows XP I should get. I wanted Media Center Edition 2005 but I heard that it was hard to install, a little buggy, and didnt play games well, so maybe I should go with Home. But my computer has a dual core proccessor, and I heard that only XP pro has multi-proccessor support, so would my computer be gimped by XP home? please help

Unless you have a specific need, I would go with Home. Home supports dual core. You are probably confusing this with multi-threaded. MCE only if you plan to hook it to your TV.

As ZaZ says, don't need XP pro.

MCE though, you get the player, if you're ever going to connect it to a TV to show video's photo's, or use it through a stereo system, it gives the added benefit of being able to add a remote for use easily.

I am not one of them, but I've had others say they like the MCE player over WMP 10 and were willing to pay the extra just to have it.

well then I might just get MCE, but I heard that its difficult to install. The one available on newegg.com is a "OEM", and people have been saying that its a little buggy
