    Here's the problem:

EDIT: Now I have a new problem.

Seems like I got infected by a virus *disappointed by avast* from my USB drive. I managed to totally exterminate it from my computer [and I simply reformatted my USB drive]. But now, this:

When I try to open C: drive from My Computer, this happens. Now what..? *Extremely frustrated*

    Please help. Thanks!

Unfortunately it's not included in the choices. Can you tell me where I can find it [directory]?

This is a virus. most probably some derivative of the w32 worm like brontk or sal.xls.exe. use some good antivirus (i recommend AVG free edition). if u have enabled the 'show all files' and 'do not hide protected operating system files ' options in folder options , once u go to the drive u will be able to see the virus file there with a file called 'autorun.inf' delete both and restart PC (do it from all the drives). for temporary operation u can choose to open with internet explorer from the open with menu. this will however cause the files to be opened in windows explorer

I have already totally removed the virus, as I mentioned in my original post [method of removal is in the link in my original post].

EDIT: lol, I should read more carefully.

After using System Restore and reviving the virus [lol], I was able to do the instructions in the said link properly.

Geez, I forgot to read number 1: SAFE MODE. lol.

    Anyway thanks for the help.
