This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    WLM and SMS

    i am trying to set this up again. I went through the steps from Windows Live Messenger main window > Display name > Options > Phone where I checked the box and signed up for mobile from there, and made MSN send me my WLM service message. I tried replying to the service msg with CL like the said but I get an error saying "CL could not be processed". I've deleted my Mobile account and re-created it many times, no success. I can send SMS to my contacts by viewing their numbers from mobile.live.com/ruhp.aspx but when they reply, it all comes from a single # (even if 20 contacts message me, it comes from 1 number).

    Anyone got any idea as to what the problem is here? I've set WLM and SMS up in 2005 and it was so easy, now it's such a pain.
