    Hi All,

I just picked up a Lenovo Yoga 11s and it's my first experience with windows 8 and the multitouch scrolling is driving me mad. Is there any way to enable the multi touch gestures that begin in the zones of the left and right buttons (bottom ¼ of the touchpad)? This problem is evident when you try to two finger scroll from the bottom of the touch pad to the top—since the gesture ‘begins’ in the mouse button zone, it doesn’t register and simply moves the cursor up. So inorder to scroll up, you have to begin the gesture in the middle of the trackpad. However, two finger scroll from the very top works as expected.

I can’t find any driver settings to change this behaviour.

Is this a common problem for Synaptics Windows 8 clickpads? Are there any work arounds? I’m not a mac user, but it seems to make common sense to expect to be able to use the entire area of the touchpad for gestuers. Really, it’s so amazingly unintuitive that I suspect it must be related to a patent issue--there’s no way someone would intentionally program the drivers in this manner!

    Thanks,
