Is there an application which would give me more power over the sound output on my system? Options like having volume profiles, which I can change to with the press of a button (or a combination) would be nice.
I just find it tedius having to open up the Master Volume Control window and having to slide those bars around every time.

Doesn't your keyboard have volume buttons?

The volume button is extremely limited. It only changes the Master Volume one small step per press. I want to have pre set values for my CD Volume, Mic Volume, Wave etc. which I can change to without any hassle whatsoever.

Just set everything max except for master volume. Then all you need is master ;)

Have you ever considered that some of us might require certain volumes to be louder than others during playback? I am one of those, and just messing with Master isn't sufficient.

I am not looking for simple work arounds like the ones mentioned before as I have already thought of them long before and they don't meet my needs. Please post information which is topic related, i.e. information about a volume management application.

Not to be an @$$hat, although given your last response it would seem appropriate, but have you considered using the application known as 'Google'? You can enter the search phrase 'Volume Control Software' and in return 'Google' will produce links to many sources of just such a program. Here is the link.

Volumizer might be the software you're looking for.

The reason for my last responce was mainly because people seemed to ignore my request and post work arounds which made me a bit frustrated.
If my previous post really offended you to the extreme, which given your last response does seem to be the case, then I apologise and I assure you no offense was intended at all.
I posted this thread not because I was too lazy to google, but because I thought some people might be kind enough to recommend some software to me, which seems to be what most of the posts in this forum is about, in case you haven't noticed. I do appreciate the suggestion, as I am sure most people who ask for software would when you tell them to go 'google'.

@dudesdudets, Thanx for the suggestion, I have tried volumizer, however it does not really have the option to set a hotkey combination for profile switching. Any more suggestions (for an app) would be appreciated.
