This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Vista, wont let programs connect to internet to dl

    Hi, I was wondering why in Vista, when i tried to install aim, it says
    Aim is having difficulty making a connection at this time. Please try again later.. blah balh
    Downloading works when using firefox, browsing websites works as well.. so im online, and i tried dling aim with my desktop and it works perfectly fine.

    and it had troubel connecting to the internet as well when i was trying to register my creative mouse, so instead i had to go to the webpage to register

    ty, im guessing something is blocking those programs it from going onto the internet?
