I'm lost on this one guys... I can't get my new T2010's display to turn off automatically after a set time. Similarly, it won't sleep automatically either. If I set a screensaver, the screensaver will come up and stay on, so that rules out some sort of drifting trackpoint issue.

    Any other ideas folks?

Have you tried adjusting the power options from Vista's control panel? There should be a feature allowing you to adjust the default power plans for your notebook.

do you have any USB devices plugged in? sometimes the system polling the USB port makes the OS "think" there is activity going on.

I never figured it out. Ended up doing another clean install. No problems now.
