So I don't know what's going on. This issue only happens when the laptop attemps to hibernate some times. i've googled this and seems others have the same issue but no solution is posted other than "update your laptop"...which i have...

Well, if possible do upload the minidump in zip. (C:\Windows\Minidump\Mini092808-01.dmp)

Also, check the Scheduled Task Log, and see which events have caused the system to wake-up. (Enable - Show Hidden Tasks)

    Not really sure atm.

If you are facing wake issues, also check the Task Scheduler Log, as mentioned above.

Hi, just an update... some people over at the Sony forum have the same issue..and they too run Avira.

Anyhow, I did a scan using avira and it came up with some warning...these which stood out and COULD BE related to the issue I am having..

    "C:\hiberfil.sys
[WARNING] The file could not be opened!
    C:\pagefile.sys
[WARNING] The file could not be opened!"

Maybe when the computer is put to hibernate, Avira attempts to live scan those files and finds it cannot open it and it causes some type of glitch.

    Any idea?

See if you can add exceptions in Avira....or disable the live scan thing, and see if it works well.
