    I have a out-of-curiosity question that can't seem to find the solution to on google. When you click on the volume icon is Vista it shows you a bar, no surprise there, but what does the moving green bar and gray bar represents when you have sounds playing in the back ground? Thank for any help in advance.

    I'm pretty sure the green means what the sound goes up to, not so sure what the grey is though.

    Gray is how loud the sound is on a full scale, while the green is the same but scaled to the current level.

    It's like a little equalizer that shows when the speakers are being in use...
