Well, I was going to update my Vista install today via Windows update. So I got on, ran Windows update, then went to microsoft.com to see if I needed to download a new version of IE7 for Vista since they just released RC1 for XP. Just as I get to the IE7 download page, a screen from avast! pops up and says that a virus was detected, but avast! caught it and prevented it from downloading onto my computer. I'm not really sure if this was really a virus or just some adware or something. Or maybe it detected a plug-in on the page as a virus. Anyways, just thought I'd post it up here and see what you guys think. The screenshot is attached. It says virus/worm with the name of Zulu. I thought this was an old XP/Win2k worm several months ago, but I may be wrong. Maybe I'm confusing it with Zotob. What do you guys think?

Sounds like typical antivirus software crap.

rad.microsoft.com is the advertising domain. That's probably a piece of spyware misreported as a worm. If not, Microsoft is spreading a worm on their own server. :)

Yeah, I kinda figured it was more adware than a worm. It seems highly unlikely that there's a dangerous worm for Vista right now seeing as its under quite limited usage.
