I think your system is trying to tell you that you should probably switch to Firefox, or even Opera.

Yes your system is actually trying to say: "Internet explorer doesn't work, so download Firefox". A way to fix it will most likely be running CCleaner, and restarting. or doing some viri scans because IE is known for viri. Otherwise it may seriously be telling you to get FF.

Ok, an attempt at a more serious answer: IE and Vista seem to have compatiblility issues with each other, sites on the Net, games, Wireless, etc, etc. Other browsers (and XP) IMHO, just, as a general rule, work better than Vista and IE.

I'd recommend you run the IE utility to reset everything to its default settings. I don't run IE too often, but I don't have any problems with it on Vista 64bit (32bit or 64bit version)...

You can get to the utility by Internet Options -> Advanced -> Reset

I too recommend Opera, but there is no need by people to post telling you to change your browser while not offering a potential solution to your problem. After all, every browser is free so the choice is up to the end user to use whatever they prefer.

+1 for Opera. What a well thought-of browser.

    ROFL lol.

By the way, are you running a beta version of Vista SP1 (v.245) i think? That beta made IE7 unstable for a while.
