Vista freezes when opening recording properties.

for some reason when ever i have a device pluged into my laptop and i go to open the recording properties it just freezes up on me and theres nothing i can do. i can't open up the task manager or anything. this specific instance is when i have my lexicon alpha plugged into the usb. but it has happend with other devices as well...any help?

 

I checked Lexicon's website and found their software hasn't been updated since 10/1/2007 and might not behave nicely with Vista SP1 if you have that installed.

You could try uninstalling the usb devices under hardware manager and reboot to reinstall the drivers. Something might have run a muck during installation.

I would check that your system is fully updated with your manufacturer's recommended drivers and other system updates to rule that out.

Beyond that, you could contact Lexicon customer service and see if they have any suggestions.
