Ok, so I've built a new pc and installed vista prem (32bit). When I plug in my external hard drive (lacie 500GB) it doesnt show in "my computer". When I go to device manager it shows up under "other hardware" and it has a yellow triangle next to it. When I check it says that its drivers aren't installed. Strange cause when I use my brothers pc who also uses vista it works automaticly. No drivers came with the hard drive.
I've tried making vista seach for the drivers under system32\drivers but it doesnt help.

any1 know how to fix this?
    any help is greatly appreciated!

Got any other USB storage devices? If you can get it to recognize another one, chances are you can get the right drivers.

ive got an usb stick that it recognizes (I tried my ipod but it doesnt recognize it either)

the drivers used for my usb stick are:
    system32\DRIVERS\disk.sys
    system32\DRIVERS\partmgr.sys

any way I can manually select the drivers?
