    Hi there

I've been looking for someone to help me with a peculiar problem. I've being googling but no lucky.

the thing is, i have a problem with all shortcuts that are placed into the quick link bar, the program just dont starts its like im clicking nothing. also the the same problem comes up when i click into the results that shows up from the search box into the start menu.

however if i browse the start menu instead of using the search box it works fine.. even the same shortcuts!!!

anyone knows how to fix it?

    technical : vista ultimate 64x sp1
    all updates done
shortcuts are with the links well done
ive also tried to turn the index off and on with the same result

    cheers Beto

did you install any program? did you install and hotfix? etc etc? try to apply a restore point. it sounds weird that, all of a sudden, you got this problem. think well and come back with more infos. also, try to delete all the icons and put them back. try to make a chkdsk in the command prompt

garwil... Ive found this post googling as well and its not working for me even the deep solutions from the referenced forums and nothing works...

    webtlk

My friend got this problem and he told me that this problem starts when he did the last week windows update 24.06.08

and i dont really install anything new for looong time so i dont believe was any kind of mess up application that i tried out. i will try tomorrow re do some applications shortcuts but i dont believe it will works. its a really a weird problem though. ive just found someguys having the same through the net and looks not have a definitive solution for that.

its not a virus as well... since i have nod32 and im also using windows vista 64x

    btw chkdsk accuses nothing...anyother idea???

    cheers Beto
