    Hi:

I moved my vista sidebar to the left side of the screen because I use AIM and I prefer it on the right. Now the problem is whenever I install something new, or download a new file on my desktop, the icon appears beneath the vista sidebar and I am forced to exit the sidebar and then move the icon.

Is there a better way to do this?

Maybe you can remove the sidebar and just place the gadgets in the middle of the screen?
