Hello guys. I'm trying to install Windows Vista SP1, but I keep getting an error. This has happened twice now, and has caused hours of waiting. When I get to Step 3 of the installation process, I get an error stating along the lines of, "Vista failed to install service pack, reverting changes". Does anyone know how I can fix this? It's really annoying. I had SP1 installed before, but I had to reformat, so I don't know how to fix things now. Thanks.

Did you install using Windows Update or the standalone download?
And was there a more specific error code or message?

I thought I mentioned it, but I guess I didn't. I tried both methods. That's where the two errors occurred.

And I don't think there was a specific error code, but the message was basically what I typed out. It said that, and told me not to shut off the computer.
