Wasn't it supposed to be at the second half 2007 when Server 2008 ships?

i can hear the "wait for SP1" mantra being chanted again. :p

Vista is usable now for most people I guess.

But not yet for my work. Hopefully with SP1 my company will migrate to Vista. I have to dual boot because I need XP on my personal notebook to connect to work.

Vista in an XP network is a horror story to me.

These are the issues I have with Vista:

Driver support sucks, especially ATI and Canon support...HP only recently did some good stuff.

Video overlay issues prevented me from watching full screen DVDs, a maximized windowed video was fine.

At least one crash per day, most often when I did nothing...even Vista's reliability monitor said my install was unstable.

USB connectivity issues...my printer and other USB stuffs would reconnect and reinstall drivers about 3-5 times per day.

Printer failed to work for a LONG time, despite 'working' drivers being released...I would usually have to reboot the computer in order to get it to print a document.

I remember one particular time I deleted everything off of a partition I didn't want, but the space wasn't freed up at all. You delete 15GB of stuff, you'd expect your available capacity to go up 15GB...it didn't. I ended up having to reformat that disc in order to get my space back

WiFi was a nightmare for my university network. But XP has no issues.

Vista invalidated my license once, and though MS fixed it with a call or two, I still had to reinstall the OS to get full functionality back. I confirmed my key was legit and everything, confirmed with their support teams I could properly activate it again, and then just installed XP!

And before someone tries to tell me 'I didn't know what I was doing,' I'm a software programmer and EE student who frequently helps everyone else I know out with their PC problems. I usually get called before Dell, HP, or other...and usually they don't have to call Dell, HP, or other once I'm done looking at their problems.
