I just got Vista and it's kinda annoying. Everytime I start up certain programs like FreeRam XP, it always prompts me if I should allow the program to run. Is there a way to make it stop prompting me. Also, when I use other programs, it requires me to right-click and hit 'run as admin' even though I am running on an admin account. How can I also stop that? Thanks for all the advice in advance.

Go to start, control panel, user accounts and then at the bottom you will see turn of UAC (User Account Control) then you have to reboot. This will make those prompts go away but will also remove IE7 protected mode, doesn't bother me since I use Firefox.

Remember that the UAC is part of the increased security protecting your system from silently running applications that could easily cause damage. It is certainly your decision to shut it off but be aware that Vista's security structure assumes it is running. Shutting it off basically grants administrative run access to anything that asks for it.

Something very similar is integral to most Linux systems and is part of what boosts their security. One difference I noticed is that in Ubuntu Linux you only only have to enter the /root access password if you haven't done it in the last 15 minutes. So it prevents the "swarm" of windows you can get trying to run some things in Vista.

Sorry for going a little off track here but you might want to forget about using FreeRam XP, as it does nothing for your computer. It is one of those pointless applications which I noticed a few years back does absolutely nothing. IMHO all ram optimizing applications are nothing but "smoke and mirrors" ;) .
Take a look at this recent thread where ram optimization software was being discussed. You are better off letting windows itself manage the memory allocation.

You open yourself up to a lot more viruses and malware if you disable UAC. It's certainly your decision to turn it off, but consider yourself warned. I would advise you to turn it back on and just deal with the pop-ups for now.

also, if you are using a program that manages ram in Vista, you might be running into program conflict as Vista has much more in-depth management of that resource than XP did, ei ready boost and other features.

Vista does memory management well on it's own. You don't need these "fluffs" as I call them.
