    well personally i dont see why anyone would want them to close the loophole and practically upgrading your system without being able to clean install can really only be done once. Imagine having to install XP then install Vista everytime something went wrong with your comp that needed a format....

    besides i think right now microsoft really need ppl to get into vista cuz with its hardware demands and xp being relatively reliable, i wouldnt feel the need to make vista my #1 OS right about now.

    this isnt like the old time when they introduced XP after their disastrous WinME (Mistake Edition), everyone knew XP was so much better. But here its only better if u care for all the extras and eye candy, not so much the reliability.

    Actually they ignore it becoz one of this days, the upgrade from XP to Vista will be cut! So no upgrades, no loophole.. it's so simple..

    how do we know for sure that it will always work though... honestly I am tempted to just buy the upgrade version of ultimate because of this.
