I have a quick question I would like to ask- is there anyway to remove the typed password entry field when Vista boots up so that only the fingerprint scan option is available?

Basically, rather than have two little boxes on the Vista login screen you would just have one, that one being the option to swipe your finger to login rather than having another that lets you type in your password.

I hope that's not too weird of a question....

    Thanks!

I don't think thats possible, but you can check out: Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Local Security Policy -> Local Policies -> Security Options -> Check-out if there is any option to remove the password field !!

What fingerprint software are you running? I think the reason it has both options is incase the reader fails to read.
