Well, i don't know if this is the right place to ask this question but hopefully it is. I used to have the antivirus recommended on this website (AVAST), but it expired already. So I went ahead with the other option they had (Antivir Guard) the one with the umbrella. It seems to be like my computer has a virus because I have this little blue question mark which keeps changing to a NO sign or something like that (the one they use for non-smoking but without the cigarrete or the no Parking one). I am thinking this is a virus, since it doesnt want to come off and then about every ten minutes the computer does like it is going to freeze and then it works fine again and right after that I get this little red with grey circle which says (computer is infected!) and it tells me to click on it to get an antivirus or antispyware. My friend said he clicked on it and it took him to this website where SPYQuake or some program like that was downloaded. I ran AVAST, Antivir Guard, Spybot search and Destroy, and AD aware SE Personal, and they show that there are viruses and malware, but every time i try to delete them it says that the program cannot be deleted because it is being used. So I tried doing all the scans on safe mode and it was able to delete them, but on the regular mode it keeps giving me the same thing. What can I do to fix this? please help me up!

You won't have any problems running AVG Free from Grisoft. I realize it doesn't answer the question - but uninstall whatever you have and get AVG Free.

heres your solution...goto start>run>msconfig, boot with selected start up, boot in diagnostic mode... and then delete the files..
