    Vista 64

Ok so every other computer i've ever had that ran off of vista had the nice little function that allowed me to view the icons with in a folder in many different ways. And the really cool thing was when i had Large or Extra Large Icons i could see a great preview image of the file (like the cover of a book or first page of a file)

But for some reason i cant make this work... all i get is a large or larger version of the filetype thumbnail. Its not a huge problem, but i really liked my sneak peak and it REALLY helped me out when trying to open books as i recognize most of them by cover.

Does anyone know how to make it view the preview again, or am i stuck with just the file type thumb from here on out?

    Thanks

OK try this. Go to my computer, then press alt to bring up the old style menus. Click Tools, Folder Options and View. The first checkbox should say "Always show icons, never thumbnails". If that is checked, uncheck it.

Its really perplexing me. EVERY other computer displays them correctly except this one and i cant figure out whats different :(

Check the visual settings part of the control panel. And set everything for better appearance over performance.
