I seem to have issues with the way that vlc handles audio when it's 5.1 surround sound. The character voices are almost nonexistent YET the background noise/music is way too high. the speakers are built into my tv and i don't have any trouble like this when i use my 360 and set it to 5.1 Surround sound. It's only when i try to use VLC and any type of HD movie/TV show from my laptop. I'm using an HDMI cable which only seems to have troubles with VLC. I'm also running windows xp so is this an issue with VLC? Any ideas of how to fix?

    Help appreciated.
