    Using sata drive in AHCI

    As per a thread on this forum, I had to change the hard drive from AHCI to ATA (in the BIOS) in order to reinstall Windows XP. Now how do I change it back? If I just change the BIOS back, Windows will not boot up.

    You cant. to use SATA in AHCI, you need to install winxp with the proper drivers slipstreamed into the disc beforehand using a program like nLite.

    Furthermore, AHCI is really irrelevant for XP, I would just leave it out.
