How do you use broadband Internet with Windows 2000? Does it come with built-in software that I can use to use broadband? Is there any FREE 3rd party software that I can use for this purpose?

Connect your lan cable to the computer, set up the network adapter, and use your internet. Every you need is intergrated into Windows 2000.

Yep, don't worry about using your ISP's "setup" software disc if they gave you one. If you have a router, just plug the ethernet cord into the jack on the computer. and the other end into one of the ports on the rear of the router. If your connecting via wireless, launch the wireless utility on the computer.

You don't have to worry. TCP/IP hasn't changed much since Windows 2K.

It may depend on what your ISP uses to connect. I'm not sure if the PPPoe dialer is available in Windows 2000, I know windows XP had one. Cable shouldn't be an issue.
