I know what I am doing for the most part, on my Windows Vista Home Premium, yet it is constantly annoying me with a ton of dialog boxes for permission to execute certain things, I know the reason it is asking me all this stuff is because User Account Control is turned on.

But I can't figure out how to turn it off. In the Windows Security Center it doesn't give me an option to turn it off, instead all it does it tell me it is on. Any info helping me turn this feature off would be great.

i turned them off the day i bought my laptop: start, control panel, user accounts, and turn user account control on or off and you are on your way to a much better vista experience.

Thanks alot, I've been setting up Vista for the last few hours, and couldn't find how to turn it off.

    Thanks again.

You just disabled Vista's number one security feature. If you want to open your door to malware and viruses, leave it off. But if you want security turn it back on; it really helps a lot.
