check if there is a memory.dmp file in c:\Windows, if so, zip it and upload it here (or somewhere and post a link), someone can look into it to find the culprit.

btw - did you try what's suggested on the blue screen? have you installed any new hardware, reinstalled drivers, whatever?

Well, you are one of the clever ones who took a pic of the screen :) Well done.

This has the full error code.
    I'm looking.

PS: You can too, all error codes (valid ones) should be online.

What OS are you running - XP or _Vista?

Also, that error code - 0x8E - seems to be associated with a lot of memory errors, so try running memtest to see if any of your RAM is faulty.

Lastly, there's a thread on another forum here that's a sort of grab-bag of different causes of 0x8E type stop errors; read through it and see if anything there sounds like the problems you're having.

Another I think I thought about:

There is a "no add-on mode" for IE7 - it can be run from the start menu -> all programms - does the problem also occur running in "safe mode" with no add-ons?

Just to make sure it isn't a faulty add-on.
