You can dowmload the ISO image as well (assuming you are not on Dialup)

I ran Unbuntu for a while - it worked well - reconized all my devices installed flawlessly.

    Good Luck............dy

I got mine a couple of weeks ago (ordered in early JAN). I had ordered newer ones becuase I gave away my old ones to a friend who wanted to try them (promoting open source :p)

Did you order one of the standard options, cause they say if you order something none standard it may take longer. For me I got one of each, since this is the least quantity option!

I as well ordered one of each (PC, 64bit PC, and Mac), and they arrived about three weeks later. I haven't had a chance to play with the OS yet, but look forward to it.

    They definitely are free though.

Thank all. I just ordered one CD for PC( hoping they will send both install and live one). I have no Mac or 64 bit PC. Initially I just wnt to try,if good I can order more. I don,t find any of my friends interesred, so I don,t want to waste them to order in big amount. I would have preferred to download but I have dial up ony.

It,s really pleasant to see anything on the internet really free in the hard form, even the shipping cost is not there, I am so surprised.

I want to ask, can I make copies from them, is it possible and legal?

The package comes with the 2 cds, a live and an install.

Of course they are copiable and it is legal. After all it is identical to the download and it is open source. In fact this is what it says on the back of the package: "Ubuntu is software libre. You are legally entitled and encouraged to copy, share and redistribute this CD for yourself and your friends. Share the spirit of Ubuntu!"

    I like that statement :)

BTW Kubuntu, the KDE edition of Ubuntu, is free to download but not free to order, you have to pay shipment which isn't too bad! Anyway personally I like Ubuntu (Gnome) better.
