I have a few questions that are confusing me.......and a small problem...so I will put them in one thread.......

    1) With the Clevo Drivers Installation disc, when you first start it, it disables UAC then reboots.......

Why is it doing this? does UAC interfere with drivers installation? What's the logic behind them doing this since when the driver is about to be installed, you get a UAC prompt which you should obviously accept/say yes to, so that is still giving the installer full admin rights.

    Confused about this......

    2) Is it recommended to disable Windows Defender during the drivers installation or does it not matter.....?

    3) I have a problem with my folder icons that I have set a custom icon for each one...

when I open my software folder for example where I set custom folder icons for each sub-folder, they load in slow motion. In Windows 7 this doesn't happen only in windows 10

any ideas how to fix or improve this?

Notice the icons with the default folder icon, that is still loading after a while they will all display their icon as I set them:

Dont use disc. Install manuel. Be a men.
    Drink vodka play dotka.

On a serious note, since the drivers are all trusted, and for an easy silent installation, UAC needs to be disabled. Otherwise the one click installation method would be meaningless.
Windows Defender wont care, unless it something suspicious being installed. And AFAIK all the driver packages are signed and from known sources.

oh I do install them manually because I have updated ones. I am just wondering why does CLEVO disable UAC when the installation starts and if I should do the same

They simply disable it to install the drivers in whatever order they decided to without having to accept the UAC prompt. It is for the sake of convenience and nothing else.
