    I have developed this simple but useful little app that allows us(specially the hp owners) to turn off their notebook displays when listening to music or podcasts to save battery life.

    Yes nocturnal310 its absolutely free.
    Has anyone tried it on a machine running Windows XP? I only have Windows Vista here and couldnt test on XP eventhough theoretically it should work on XP too but just incase. If anyone get it to work on Windows XP then please let me know so that i could update the article on my blog.

    works fine on xp.....both on my desktop and my laptop....i know i can just hit the power button on my desktop monitor i just wanted to test it anyways.....

    on a side note, i have updated and uploaded a newer version which doesnt show MS-DOS based window when monitor comes back from off mode. do try it!
