What's the best free program to cut mp3 files with? (ie. my song is 4 minutes long but I want to cut it so I only have the section starting from 5 seconds in and ending 30 seconds in). Of course the program should retain the audio quality. I need this to crop out ringtones for my phone.

    http://www.mptrim.com/

mpTrim is free and it will retain all the quality, you can even add fade-in and fade-out to it.

If it's for ringtones, why do you care about quality? I mean it will be played back on a great big half-inch speaker...MP3 DirectCut is really good and free and doesn't re-encode and if you 'Searched' you might have already known this...
