On my sager 2090 with Vista x64 using the latest ktpware elantech drivers for my touchpad I have been having this problem. After resuming from sleep the touchpad simply doesn't work. Vista doesn't alert me that its disabled or anything, but it just simply doesnt move the mouse; nor do the buttons work. Keyboard is working though. Any advice?

Use device manager to do a scan for hardware changes if you can, or just restart.

I find this happens with my integrated webcam every now and then. I think it's because Vista isn't recognising the touchpad as being there after it starts up from the "sleep" mode. Not sure of how to get around it other than scanning for hardware changes or restarting.

I know this is an old thread but I have yet to get this issue resolved and its starting to drive me crazy. I would say its around 1 out of every 5-7 times after resuming from sleep that the touchpad simply refuses to respond. Everything else seems to work fine except for the touchpad. Please help!

I am using vista sp1 and as far as I can tell I'm using the latest elantech drivers.
