ok i got this toshiba p15 for free i just needed to replace the inverter and buy it a charger. Anyways im gona give it to my freind but she wants it to run vista ( because its pretty ) anyways i dont really care im sure it can handle it but the problem is can i find drivers for it i found some nvidia 5100 go drivers but i need the wireless drivers and all sorts of crap drivers ( currently its not running batterys dead ) well what do you guys think the specs on it are

    pentium 4 2.8ghz
    nvidia fx 5100 go 32mb
    Atheros B/g w/lan ( i think )
    60gb 5400rpm hard drive
512mb of ram ( might upgrade to 1.25gb though)

also i know itll run fine with vista in a way because i put vista on my freinds laptop with 512mb of ram and a 1.6ghz amd sempron 3000+ or maybe it was 1.8ghz regardless it ran fine just cant have bloat ware.

It won't be able to run Aero (the pretty GUI of Vista) due to the graphics card.

Otherwise many-most things should work OTB.

And the 1.8 Sempron is better than that Pentium 4

Socket 754 is 64bits, 32bits Sempron are on socket A.

While the Go 5100 might be able to run Aero, it will be extremly slow (it's a 32MB card. Aero needs a 128MB one), and probably not a good ideo to use it.
