So i always use a double height taskbar in all my windows OS's but in vista, everytime i set it and reboot it goes back to normal single height.

ive looked all over and its a rare issue, has anyone come across this it is very annoying...

I do not have any spyware or adware on my machine, im currently running sfc to see if it may help...

so far its happned on my desktop running vista ultimate and on my laptop running vista business...

any insight would be greatly appreciated...

Never faced the problem, though i must admit I don't use vista a lot.. My taskbar stays at whatever height I set it to... Try locking the taskbar...

yeah ive tried all kinds of things, i think it maybe something in the adobe suite CS3 that is causing it to not stick, it just doesnt save on exit even when locked...it worked for a few days then it stopped...

    its quite aggrivating...

Do you lock your taskbar after doubling the standard height?

well after i created a new profile i decided to try not make some customizations to appearance i fixed it....

it seems that by adjusting the height of the bar on top of windows down to 17 in appearance u know where u pick window colors and size....that was causing it to not stay.....

go figure something so simple was causing all that greif...
