I use CdrDao, it does absolutely everything, has more features than Nero.

I've been using Roxio Easy Cd Creator for a while... I think 50% of my CDs and some DVDs went straight to garbage.
Now I'm using Nero and up to now every CD or DVD burned without any problems.
    So, I'd recommend Nero.

use the integrated one in windows!! ok, maybe not.

I was going to suggest nero too, I find it's pretty good and never had problems with it.

Why do you hate it so much?

...I've always found that Nero tends to be the best software out there for Windows. If you run linux, k3b is the best GUI application for CD burning.

whenever i burn a DVD with nero, when it is checking the data on the disk there are always like 20,000 errors (exaggerating). the data is all corrupt on the DVD.

buy better media and do a slower burn? I use taiyo yuden(sp?) discs and run the burning process one notch under max and have yet to have an error.

I like NTI. It's been the most reliable for me. But no matter what app you use, a slower burn & higher settings for cache mem is always better.
