    Hey.

System restore is not restoring, HELP!

    I am on Windows VISTA.

I got a Virus in my computer and it had blocked the access of system restore. After I installed some malware bytes software it got rid of the virus.

Now system restore opens but when system restore is done, it says system restore was not successful. I tried different dates restore aswell and still does not work.

There are some problems with my internet now for example it is very slow and some time it will take along time to open even Google, like it will say in browser Connecting...for a few seconds before opening Google, before it used to open right away.

I cannot format my computer nor upgrade to Windows 7 as there are softwares that I need.

How can I restore or fix my internet issue?

    Thanks.

Try booting into safe mode and do the restore from there.

Don't be so sure. I'd hose the system down and reload if I were you. I mean do you really trust your restore points now?
